My 25 years in publishing have been completely focused on selling, publishing, and distributing. I have held senior level positions at Chelsea House Publishers, Chilton Book Company, Grolier Encyclopedia, National Book Network, and I was the Publisher at Time Life Trade Books.

I have literally sold millions of books. I built this site to help you learn more about marketing your books and more importantly help you to actually sell them.

During my time in publishing, I have seen many good books never hit their potential. What made the difference between a book that works and one that doesn’t?  For the most part, it was the marketing, passion, hard work and the dedication of the author and the publisher working in concert to proactively seek out potential buyers.

By creating this site I wanted to help publishers promote their books and find their consumers. I’ve always known that publishers didn’t have a chance for meaningful sales unless their book was in front of their best potential customer at the right moment. As the result of changes in the retail marketplace, it’s hard to find that customer now – or is it? The methods have changed but you can still find them. Now it’s the web, social media, internet PR, and email campaigns that will put your book in front of your market.
